I'm so excited to finally be sharing about our month long trip to the Hawaiian Islands! We visited Maui for a second time, and then added Oahu and the Big Island to our list of places we've been to. To this day my husband and I can't figure out if we like Maui or the Big Island better...love the vibes of Maui, but we love all there is to do over on Hawaii. We spent a lovely 2 weeks on the Big Island, and on one of our first days there, we decided to explore the gigantic island a bit. Thoughts On Living in a Campervan
(for 21 days) What exactly is a campervan? Glad you asked, because I barely knew they existed before this trip. A campervan is literally a van that's turned into a camper in the back. That being said, it's not exactly fully equipped to house people like an RV as it isn't air tight, and doesn't have some of the 'plush' amenities as an RV may have. The airtight thing wouldn't be that big of an issue in the summer, but boy does it get cold in there during the winter! Why did we decide to rent a campervan during the winter for our first 3 weeks in New Zealand? It was the cheapest and most adventurous way to travel around both islands of New Zealand.
