I love challenges, especially when the goals are attainable. I try to challenge myself every day when it comes to my physical health. The nice thing about living in Korea is that I am not tempted with all the fatty, highly processed, junk many restaurants and stores carry back home. I’m also not that much into local traditional food. In the past year and a half I’ve incorporated a fairly clean diet into D and I’s daily living. Our staples include salmon and tilapia, chicken, beans, and about as many fruits and vegetables we can find at the local market!
I’ve also challenged myself in the fitness area. Gym memberships cost an arm and a leg per month, so that was out of the question right off the bat. I started doing at-home workouts. I’ve completed the INSANITY program 3 times, Jillian Michael’s Thirty Day Shred one time, and now I’m looking for more.
The problem is, I’ll be on a 9 day vacation next month, so I was wanting to find something I could do on vacation. Yeah, I know, totally lame. Who works out while on vacation?
Thankfully I found a solution that’s a little less time consuming than my last few workout routines. I’ll basically be taking a break from interval training to do sets of the same exercise movements, increasing each set in number each day.
I’m taking on The 30 Day Challenge.
I actually have two 30 Day Challenges ahead of me:
30 Day Squat Challenge
and 30 Day Ab Challenge
I’m super excited about these workouts, and have loaded the schedules onto my phone so I can cross or mark off each day using the ‘Phonto’ app. I started day 1 yesterday (July 19th), and was able to complete the sets with ease. I am super intimidated by day 20-30 on both of these schedules…I feel like if I’m able to finish those days I’ll be pretty much a beast.
UPDATE: A few how-to videos for those tricky moves!

How about you? Wanna join? After talking about this on twitter I decided (with help from a few girls) to make a link up of girls who are wanting to join me! Nothing like a great group accountability eh?
Lets do this! Summer isn’t even close to being over!
