Today’s been quite the day.
I’m sure 99.99998% of you can agree that the day before an epic vacation starts is always the worst. Not only is it eternally long, but you have a list forever-and-a-half long of things you have to get done before you leave. Shoot.
As I write this (at 1:23am), I’m thinking of about 6-7 things I have yet to finish, pack, pay, throw away, and find before we leave. We’re leaving for the airport bright and early at 6:30am! I’m also staying up as late as possible so that I can be dead tired for our semi-long flight. As most of you are aware of by now, I’m a terrible traveler.
In other news, the VS maxi, that I ordered specifically for this trip two weeks ago, finally arrived. Seriously like 5 hours ago…talk about getting something in the knick of time. Check out where I found it:
Yep. Actually both the white Victoria’s Secret bag/package and the small box are for me; the post man just left them outside on top of our tiny and unsecured mailboxes. OUTSIDE. If I lived back in the States I’d be having a cow over this…that’s over a hundred dollars of merchandise sitting outside for anyone to take if they wished. Thankfully most Koreans are respectful (except for my lousy neighbor who stole an even more valuable package), and leave your stuff alone.
As soon as I stepped inside I ripped open my package real quick, and was surprised that the dress fits almost perfectly! It’s a little big on the sides, which is surprising since I ordered a size down than normal (not that I’m complaining). I’m just happy I now have something comfy and stylish to wear on a long flight.
Excuse my awkward stance in the last pic. My mirror only comes up to my chest, and makes it real hard to get a good mirror selfie (I’m not a big fan of them anyway. I always feel stupid).
Speaking of new…the hubs got a new toy as well! It’s an early birthday present, and one he’s totally stoked over! His new HERO3 BLACK GoPro was actually delivered and left in the corner of a local convenience store since we weren’t home, all four hundred dollars of it, for anyone to take yet again. Finding where our packages end up is always a scavenger hunt. I’m so glad this little guy made it before our trip! Not only can we go 60m down underwater, but its got a spiffy remote included!
Welp. This post has officially no point except that we’re leaving for vacation tomorrow. I guess PSA to you: I will not be responding to emails, tweeting, or posting on vaca! I was going to be over ambitious and write a few posts today to pre-schedule for next week…but then I found four lovely women who wanted to do it for me. Whew. So please enjoy their posts…I loved each and every one of them.
If I have WIFI tomorrow in the airport I’ll try to bang out another one of my own for next week on my Iphone (always a good time).
I’ll leave you with the gorgeous sunset I witnessed while driving by the rice fields! Sorry there is a crappy dump truck or two in the way-they’ll get ya every time. OH and check out Belinda’s blog: Found Love Now What to see her spiffy new design she let me create for her!
You should also know that I have no intention of proof-reading this post. I’m on vacation. Goodbye until the 11th! I expect to come home to lots of emails and new friends! :)
Happy Summer,
