Seeing as how this post on Busan is about two weeks late, I figured better late than never. March 1st marks Korean Independence Day, so Derik and I experienced our first Korean holiday! We took advantage of the day and caught a bus up to Busan Wednesday night (45 min drive). Overall, great experience filled wish shopping, food, and general site seeing. This post isn’t so much an informative post as it is a photo post. Please enjoy!

Took the boardwalk to see the legendary mermaid statue, and a dinosaur footprint. Saw the mermaid, not the footprint. It was a ploy...I'm sure of it.

It was Korean Independence day...so of course there was a concert and dancing outside the temple. The main photographer was so focused on getting our picture, he blatantly followed us around everywhere. Probably because it's cool to have Americans frequent the festivities. Our faces were probably all over the newspapers.

Chelsea and Jeremy were very generous in sharing the best location in South Korea (um...rivals those in the states for sure) for burgers. Seriously-the best.
