I recently stumbled upon the greatest app invented ever. I should first of all mention that I sometimes get a little ocd about things. My phone is no acceptation. I love things to be uniformed, organized, and matching. In the last five years, I’ve dealt with my ugly mismatched icons glaring me in the face every time I slid back the unlock button.
I’m here to tell you I no longer have to be tortured by this.
Cocoppa is an app developed somewhere in Asia (go figure) that allows you to install adorable shortcuts to use instead of the regular app icon. What this means for you is that you can select new icons (can I mention again that these are shortcuts?) for almost all your apps, and throw all your
ugly ‘real’ app icons (you can’t delete them or you’ll delete the whole app) in a folder tucked away as far right on your iphone as you can. There are literally millions of different shortcut icons to chose from in Cocoppa, in all different colors and styles.
These shortcut icons act as a secondary link to your apps, so if you ever wanted to delete them and go back to the old app style you can just drag the old app out of the folder and back on the main page, and delete the shortcut like you would a regular app.
I should also mention, not all apps can be made into a cute little new icon. There has been some issues with the preinstalled apps (the ones you can’t delete that came with your iphone when you first got it), and a code (the native url) hasn’t been released yet. So don’t get upset with me if you can’t get a cute little phone icon to work or the camera icon to work.
If I’ve already gone way over your head…just hang on. I believe in this app so much I made a very detailed and picture driven tutorial for you. :)
First of all, a picture of how MY phone looks.
Sold? Now what you do to install amazing shortcut images for Apps YOU installed from the app store (preinstalled app tutorial after):
There, how about that? Now for
the hardest a little bit more complicated stuff….the preinstalled basic apps (includes messages, safari, mail, camera, app store, itunes, maps, and photos. The unfortunate part (as I stated in the beginning) not all of these preinstalled apps have a native URL to plug into the shortcut link.
I know I’ve totally lost you, but hold on a sec.
To make a Cocoppa shortcut for a preinstalled app only varies by two steps..and those are steps five and six.
The apps I’m about to list (With their native URL that you will be putting individually in the box above) are the only ones you can plug in to get a shortcut through Cocoppa.

Ok, that about does it. Last word of advice…You’ll need to close your apps every few days (you do this by double clicking your home button and holding your finger down on the apps still open to close them out) to keep it from getting really slow. Remember, you’re actually opening up twice as much…one shortcut and one app!
Also…DO NOT DELETE THE ORIGINAL APP! :)
Enjoy! Have a great weekend. :)
