We have officially made it to New Zealand. People weren’t joking when they said the internet is slow, and I’m a little behind on my blogging work and design projects, due to lack of finding internet at the airports yesterday. I’ll be speaking of NZ soon, but right now I’m using whatever shreds of internet I can pull off my phone to get you this post today!
I plan on committing a bit more tomorrow when it comes to blogging and designing (if I can find a good internet cafe), but right now it’s time to rest. We spent 31 hours+ traveling today and yesterday-Derik and I are completely exhausted. Thankfully V from Life+1 is here to rescue me from being the worst blogger in the world. If you haven’t met V yet, or visited her blog, you should do so immediately. The post she shares below is just a glimpse into her busy life. She travels on her free time, is a mother and a wife, creates yummy food, and lives a healthy life. If you head over there , expect a daily dose of inspiration!
While I still get away to some beautiful places, my travel radius and frequency has been somewhat reduced due to my lovely toddler (aka Little Man). While he’s earned his international travel wings, he isn’t the easiest bit of cargo to lug around. But we fully intend to drag him to the four corners of the earth when he’s good and ready!
On that note, E (my husband) and I, recently had an opportunity to travel toddler-free (woo hoo!) as long as we made it back home in 6 days or less. Whomp whomp. After deciding that a dual center holiday to Dubai and the Maldives was not feasible by any stretch of the imagination, we decided on the Florida Keys for a bit of R&R.
Rather than ramble on about every detail, I’ve decided to give you a little photo journey of the Florida Keys. Enjoy!
Kickin things off with an Airboat cruise through the Everglades (not as glamorous as I make it sound…).
Can’t complain with a view like this.
You never know who’s watching you…
Can you think of a more relaxing place to blog?
Flowers for days.
Trial run with the new GoPro Hero3.
Our last night on the beach.
Have you been to the Keys? Did you love it? Hate it?
A little bit about me:
I’m a blog-writing, snap-happy, wifey, mommy and traveler. You can call me V. My blog, Life+1, chronicles the things I love in life, plus some random stuff like giraffes drinking water and meeting celebrities in odd places. Stop by and say hi sometime. I’d love to have you along for the journey.
