Derik and I had the pleasure of visiting the Pacific Northwest over Thanksgiving break to see family and friends. While we mainly stayed in the Portland/Vancouver area, we couldn’t resist going out to the coast to revisit where it all began, and enjoy a day full of memories, delicious food (at our favorite coastal stop: Camp 18), and to take a few pictures with our amazing watches from Jord Wood Watches that we had received a week prior.
When Jord contacted Derik and I to do a review on their watches, I immediately fell in love with every single watch as I surfed through their site. Not only are they 100% unique in comparison to other watches, the designs, the craftsmanship, and the presentation of each watch was beyond amazing. Derik has a wedding band that is inlayed with wood, and I knew he’d be just as excited to get a wooden watch to go along with his permanent daily accessory. I tell you what, we both had the hardest time picking out our watches, but I finally went with the feminine Cora watch made with Zebrawood, and Derik went with the sophisticated Delmar watch made with Dark Sandalwood.
When our watches arrived, they came in the most amazing wood cases, wrapped snug around a custom Jord embroidered pillow, and with instructions how to set up each watch. We initially had sent over our wrist measurements so the watches would be custom fitted to our wrist, but just in case the measurements were wrong (which they weren’t), Jord included two extra wooden links to add to the watch.
I was racking my brain trying to figure out where, when, and how would be the best way to feature our gorgeous new accessories, and thought that during our trip over Thanksgiving might just be the ticket. When I think trees, nature, forests, wilderness, wild, and of course, unique, the PNW immediately comes to mind. I can’t get over the fresh air, the rain (yes I love the rain), all the mossy trees, and the many, many amazing landscapes. What a perfect spot to feature our natural wood Jord Watches right?
Although the weather didn’t quite cooperate with us (welcome to the NW), we were still able to get some great shots! We decided to visit Cannon Beach, where we had gotten married 5 years previously. It holds such a special tie for us, I thought it would be a wonderful location for a few photo snaps!
Derik and I wear our watches often, and I don’t think a single day goes by that we don’t have at least one person exclaiming, “Holy cow, is that a wood watch? Where did you get it?!” If you’re looking for a very last minute Christmas gift, or something unique for a special occasion, I’d highly recommend checking out the Jord Watch Collection. They’re one-of-a-kind, timeless, and can pretty much be worn at any occasion.
Just because I think they’re so awesome, and you deserve a little something as well, here’s a $20 e-card for your next Jord purchase! I was also super excited to hear they have free shipping internationally. Wait, just in case you didn’t read that, let me write it again a little differently: Jord Wood Watches offers free shipping worldwide. Yep that’s right!
I actually love my watch so much I’m hoping to buy this one next year!
Derik and I were given Jord Wood Watches in exchange for an open and honest review, and all opinions are my own. We would never promote a product unless we found it 100% awesome, and thought readers would love it too.
