The only thing that’s been on my mind lately is the vacation that’s literally just around the corner for us! I’m super excited about our trip to Borneo! It’s been very strange trying to plan our vacation; Borneo isn’t the typical tourist location. To be honest, I didn’t know much about it until earlier this year. This island holds one of the oldest rainforest in the world, and has a fantastic tropical feel as well. We are wanting for sure to do a hiking trip up the largest mountain in SE Asia, a canopy walk, and a snorkeling trip; the rest will have to be on the fly. Unfortunately, due to the ‘newness’ of it hitting the tourist scene, I was unable to book anything online besides hotels! It’s scary yet exciting at the same time. An unplanned 9 day vacation? Bring it.
Guess what else is just around the corner? D and I’s three year wedding anniversary (August 16th). Yes three years! I’m loving all my awesome new readers (I’m waving at you from over here…so thankful that you’ve decided to stick around!), and 78.9% of you probably don’t know our love story! I’ve decided to do a wedding series that includes: engagement shoot, wedding shoot, and bridals! Yes? At least it’ll be up on the blog for reference.
My sister and brother-in-law’s 2 year wedding anniversary is also in a few days ( July 24th) so I thought I’d give you a treat from the bridal session my sister and I took 6 months before I left for Korea. I miss that girl…we’re pretty much best friends.

As I’m trying to snap out of my daydreaming state of mind, here’s what’s been going on lately in our household.

1///// I’m obsessed with this little late-night snack: semi-sweet chocolate chips, medium cheddar cheese, and camomile tea with vanilla and honey.
2///// Even though it’s been so humid and hot that my phone case has been building up condensation, I still manage to drink my coffee daily. And I like it black-real black.
3///// In the last six months I seem to have forgotten how to clean my wedding rings. I’m not sure why…I found out a few years ago that toothpaste and a bit of elbow grease using a toothbrush can give you a better polish on your ring than a cleaning at the jewelers can! My ring is back to it’s sparkly self.
4///// I realize this is a little gross, but I’ve had quite the war with fruit flies the last two weeks. I tried every thing: bleaching out my sink, olive oil, spraying rubbing alcohol, and finally I did one more little test to get rid of these silly things. On the right we have watermelon and white wine. On the left we have a nectarine pit and apple cider vinegar. Clearly the watermelon was the main attraction, and my fruit flies have finally given up the ghost.
5///// The best part about living in Geoje is the amount of beaches nearby! This girl loves the beach. This past weekend I went both Saturday and Sunday, and I had a fantastic time! Took my Brew2Go out with me on Saturday, which it passed my review testing with flying colors. More to come on that soon!
6///// Coolest news I’ve heard all year: My dad was on the front page of Yahoo News. He’s pretty much an internet celebrity now. Ok, not just him but a ton of his whole unit. During his past deployment a fellow soldier and photographer Ed Drew took a bunch of photographs with an old tintype camera for an art school project. If it were up to me he’d be passing that class with a 5.000 ;) Check out the article here!
Ok now I want to introduce you to one of the coolest girls in blogland. If you’re a blogger and you breathe, then I’m sure you know or have heard of her blog Northern Belle Diaries. If you don’t know who she is, then you need to head over there IMMEDIATELY! She’s super organized, researches everything (meaning she’s smart), and has some hilarious life stories! She’s also an excellent blog designer, so if you’re blog is needing a facelift…be sure to check her design shop out!
