I’m somewhat embarrassed that three posts are coming out of my blog today. Apparently the week was shorter than I thought. I usually do Lately posts on Thursday, but I decided to trade my blogging time in for a good ol’ Jillian Michaels workout. Borneo is coming up quick (2 months!) Without further adieu, Lately:
1/////As most of you know, we went camping for the long weekend we were given in celebration of Buddha’s birthday. We traveled up the coast with the destination of Seoraksan National Park in mind, and took our time enjoying the sights. And camping. And bonfires.
2/////Camping breakfasts are unbeatable. I don’t care if you’re a gourmet 5-start breakfast restaurant, camping meals will always win.
3/////We saw a giant buddha up on a hill while we were driving. Of course we had to stop.
4/////A view of the coastline. Gorgeous blue sky, jutting rocks, and crystal clear water. Can I stay forever?
5/////Well, turned out our hike up Mt. Sarak didn’t go quite as planned. It rained the whole day. We didn’t let the rain ruin our fun and donned 2 dollar raincoats to keep the water (mostly) off our bodies.
6/////I had lack of inspiration to teach this week, some may call it wanderlust (Borneo…PLEASE come soon!), so I made origami flowers one day and ham sandwiches the next in class. Good teacher? Bad teacher? That’s up for debate.
7/////I painted my nails electric blue with my spiffy new gel I bought off of Gmarket. I don’t care if blue is for pre-teens, I love it.
8/////I started Jillian Michael’s ‘Ripped in Thirty’ this week. I know, I feel horrible turning my back on the Insanity program, but after completing it three times, I think I would be able to do the moves in my sleep. I needed something new, something different. Jillian’s pushing me to the max! My legs are feeling the squats and my arms are feeling the weight exercises. Vacation, here I come!
