The other day I received a notification on my blog that I’ve been awarded the Liebster award by the very kind Ttanvi. I was super flattered and thrilled that someone thought my blog was awesome enough to get an award! Thank you so much!
I have to admit I had no idea what the heck a Liebster Award was, so after extensive googling I think I have found my answer.
Liebster is a German word meaning ‘favorite’ or ‘beloved. This award is usually given to inspirational blogs that have 200 or less followers.
Here are the rules for this award:
Upon receipt of the award, one is to:
1) Link back to the blogger who gave it
2) Paste the award on the blog
3) Choose 5 blogs to pass this award to
4) Let the recipients know about their nomination by leaving a comment on their blogs.
To share some inspiration and love…the blogs I have chosen to award are (in no particular order):
If you have an extra few moments, please take the time to check out these blogs, they’re pretty awesome!
Ok. The second part of accepting the award is answering some questions that the nominator assigned you.
1.Your most favorite holiday till date: I absolutely love everything about Christmas. I love the story. I love the decorations. I love the music. I love the apple cider. Need I say more? I love this holiday!
2.If you could only eat one food for a whole year what would it be? That’s really hard. It would definitely be some sort of fruit! I love pomegranates and watermelon, so it’d be a tossup!
3.If you could be a super hero what power would you choose to have? Believe it or not, I’ve often thought of this. I’ve decided if I had to be a super hero and had ‘powers’ I would have the ability to speak any language. Either that or fly.
4.Name 3 of your favorite books. I honestly don’t read like I used to. Is it bad that I draw a blank after The Bible?
5.Love is…long suffering. Patient. Endures all things. So many times in this day and age I feel like people throw around the word love. It’s hard to even know what ‘love’ actually is. Love to me is not something that you can put on as simply as you can put on a pair of jeans. Love is like your legs. It’s a huge part of you. It’s always there…but it’s up to you if you use it or not. It can grow stronger or weaker depending on how much you invest in it.
6.What would you do differently if you knew nobody would judge you? Um…dye my hair black or red. Just to try it. I’m not sure how it would look…but I want to do it just to see! You never know. :)
7.If your house was on fire, what one thing you would grab before getting out? Believe it or not, I’ve actually used this as a discussion question in my class. I, of course, would grab my cute little bunny Jazz. That is… if Derik already made it out.
8.What is the best advice you have ever received? Life is an adventure. Its up to you if you chose to live it or not. God gave you a huge blessing to be alive and well. Live for his glory…do not look back. Look toward the future and what is to come! Enjoy what He has given you, as well as be sure to bless others along the way.
9.Your all time favorite drink. I’d have to say water. I know it’s super boring, but I really don’t drink much else!
10.If given a chance to skip work or school for a day, how would you spend the entire day? Photography. Exploring the outdoors. Going shopping. Having a coffee date.
11.What chore do you absolutely hate doing? I do not mind throwing the clothes in the wash, but it’s putting it away that I loathe. I’d almost pay someone to do it for me!
Alright, and the third part:
The blogs I have nominated for the Liebster Award must also answer my questions. Due to time sensitivity I’ve only chosen five.
1. If you had a week to live, what would you do?
2. What is the number one travel adventure that you’ve always wanted to go on?
3. Who is your biggest role model and why?
4. If you were given $1,000,000 what would you do with it?
5. If you were shipwrecked on an island and could only choose 3 people to be there with you, who would they be?
