I just bought a new blender. This is big news…seeing as how the one we had before was so old and stained from the last 5 teachers that had it, I was too scared to use it. I love blending things. I also love juicing things.
I had a juicer back in the States (thanks to my awesome sister Jessica), and I really did some damage with the things I would buy in the produce section every week. Unfortunately a juicer here is very unrealistic due to the amount of expensive fruit I’d have to buy here to make the amount of juice I made substantial. Btw, all fruit is expensive here. I’ve learned to buckle up and take the blow to my monthly paycheck while I go to pay for groceries each week…but anyway I can save, the better.
I love fruits and veggies. LOVE. If it were up to me, that’s all I would eat on a daily basis. Unfortunately I have a husband who’s a very meat, potatoes, and bread kind of guy. The idea of a salad for dinner is alien to him. He does well putting up with me though, and loves me despite my ‘fresh produce’ weakness.
Today in Homeplus (the gigantic superstore in Gohyeon, 15 minutes away from where I live) I found a sweet new section of the store-a freezer solely dedicated to frozen fruit! They had the craziest things: dragon fruit, mangos, cranberries, blackberries, kiwis and some weird fruit I’ve never hear before. It. is. amazing, and I hope it stays around for a while.
This is what I came out with on my grocery shopping excursion:
According to Derik, I haven’t grocery shopped in months.
With that I’ll leave you and go sip on my tasty raspberry/strawberry/kiwi/banana smoothie.
