We’re back from the jungle, and feelin’ the Monday blues. Borneo was incredible, and definitely a very different vacation than Derik and I normally take. We’re used to basking out in the sand and sun, getting sweet tan lines, and enjoying a cocktail on the beach. In Borneo there isn’t time for that! Sure, there’s plenty of pristine beaches, but why lay out when you have an entire jungle to explore?! Our 9 days in Borneo were chalk full fun things to do; we didn’t even have time to get our scuba certifications like we had planned (oh well, we have Thailand and Hawaii coming up in January).
We saw hordes of monkeys, did some snorkeling, cruised down a couple of remote rivers, and ate way too much local food (that extra five pounds doesn’t feel so good…but it was worth it!). I have yet to go through all the pictures I took on my camera-I just grabbed one of Derik’s from his GoPro for this post!
Thank you for being patient with me due to my lack of response to comments and emails! I plan on working on them today, so stay tuned! Also, a big shout out to the girls who stepped in and took over my blog while I was gone : Selena, Katherine, Amanda, and Carrie!
I also came back to a whole new slew of amazing sponsors! I can’t wait for you to meet each of these girls. You may have noticed Rachel from Brachel Boulevard hanging out at the bottom of my posts this month. She’s pretty awesome, and I’m so glad she reached out to me as a sponsor! I am totally in love with her blog and her adorable little family. The thing that caught my eye the most about her blog (besides her gorgeous design) was the fact that she’s a travel blogger! This post about Turks and Caicos left me wanting to travel to a tropical island STAT
(wait didn’t I just come from one?). She also has adorable kids (who love cookie dough), and wrote a pretty awesome post about her family history here!
